After the Universities of the Four Seasons of Tetalab in Toulouse from 2018 to 2020, the first edition of the Winter Universities at the BIB Hackerspace in Montpellier at the end of February 2023, the Universities of Autumn at the Labomedia in Orléans at the beginning of November 2023, it is our turn to welcome the Universities of Spring at the Hackstub hakerspace in Strasbourg, in resonance with Interhack, a French network of friend structures type hackerspace and other *lab!

A DIY festival of French-speaking hackerspaces open to all

As with the previous universities, these Spring universities are conceived as a moment of exchange, sharing, creation, diversion, popular education, celebration in the form of workshops, round tables, conferences, demonstrations, concerts, projections, installations.

They are made by and for you, open to all. The programme is created on the basis of the proposals you are invited to make, leaving room for informal interventions and moments.

The topics that can be addressed are also very open, from the current "digital" to ancestral techniques, from DIY to embroidery, from semiconductors to human collectives, from biopolitics to creative scramble, from bytes to body fluids, from carbon to bacteria... globally everything that can contribute to implementing futures that are more lenient and liveable with regard to social, environmental, technological issues.

This year's event will take place in several locations in the Laiterie district.

Call for participations

A priori all proposals are accepted modulo the space/time/energy available, from the still emerging idea to projects developed for a long time. The program will be established by also looking for fertile crosses between projects and people.

Like all the Universities of the Interhacks, it is conceived on a collective initiative, a shared enthusiasm and an ideal organic and economical self-organization.
The distribution of workshops will be based on the need to be more or less isolated from ambient noise and the flow of people, as well as the technical/material possibilities of the workshop.

Proposals for workshops, round tables, demos, concerts, installations, screenings and other events can be sent to the call for participation.
